New Irish Author Shows the Way with Assisted Publishing

They say that there is a book in everyone of us. That's certainly the case for Francis Goodman - originally from Monaghan but now living in Co. Meath - who has just written his second novel.

Jane's Secret tells the story of a pregnant Irish teenager escaping to London with the intention of having an abortion. She arrives on the doorstep of her aunt Emma Flynn, whose own heartbreak experience caused her to flee to England, many years before, eventually finding success as a businesswoman in her adopted city. The unexpected arrival of her niece Jane Nulty, forces her to confront old wounds as she helps Jane to deal with her dilemma. Together with her new friend Aideen, Jane embarks on one of life's strange journeys.

Jane's Secret would not have been published without the help of The Author's Friend - a new venture in assisted publishing.
